Getting to Windward Mayreau

Windward Mayreau is located on the island of Mayreau in the Grenadines, part of St. Vincent and the Grenadines. While Mayreau is wonderfully remote, getting here is straightforward with a few simple connections.

The easiest way to reach Windward Mayreau is to fly into Argyle International Airport (SVD) in St. Vincent. There are direct international flights into St. Vincent from:

  • New York City (JFK)

  • Atlanta (ATL)

  • Miami (MIA)

  • Charlotte (CLT)

  • Toronto (YYZ)

  • London (LHR)

Option 1: Arrive in Mayreau Next Morning

SVD → Overnight → Union Island → Windward Mayreau

  • Most guests arrive in the afternoon, stay one night near the airport, then continue the next morning:
    Arrive SVD (St. Vincent)

  • Overnight nearby (we recommend Blue Lagoon, 20 minute taxi from airport) 

  • Next morning, take the 9:30am SVG Air flight to Union Island (UNI). The 20 minute flight is about $80 per person and operates every day.

  • Our taxi driver will meet you at Union Island Airport, drive you to the dock where our captains will take you to Windward Mayreau in our power catamaran. The transfer (taxi and boat trip to Mayreau) cost $150 (total).

You will typically arrive at the resort by 11am. Easy!

Option 2: Arrive in Mayreau Same Day

Fly to Barbados (BGI) > Fly to Union Island

  • Another way to reach Windward Mayreau is to fly into Grantley Adams International Airport (BGI) in Barbados. Barbados is a major Caribbean hub with frequent direct flights from many cities in the US, Canada, and Europe.

  • Take the 4:15pm SVG Air flight to Union Island (UNI). The 50 minute flight, is about $300 and operates every day.

  • This is a smooth connection from most international arrivals, and SVG Air personnel will assist with the transfer.

  • Our taxi driver will meet you at Union Island Airport, drive you to the dock where our captains will take you to Windward Mayreau in our power catamaran. The transfer (taxi and boat trip to Mayreau) cost $150 (total).

Returning Home: AM Ferry Mayreau to St. Vincent (SVD)

For departures, most guests choose to return via ferry. It’s easy, reliable, and the most common route off the island.

Several ferry services operate between Mayreau and Kingstown, St. Vincent, with schedules varying by day and season. We’ll help coordinate the best departure option around your international flight. Typical schedule:

  • Ferry departs at about 7:15 in the morning. No need for reservations.

  • Arrives in Kingstown around 11am

  • Taxi transfer to SVD airport takes approximately 30 minutes

This route is ideal for connecting with international flights departing St. Vincent.
